Safety & Environment
Safety & environment are our top priorities in both our mills as well as the whole Arjowiggins Group.
At the Group level the Safety department brings support to branches to identify and control in real time all risks related to our activities, and to ensure that in all circumstances safety is our first priority.
In the mills we maintain high environmental standards through management systems, training of employees, and continuous audits. Environmental management systems also include an emergency response plan, waste disposal and general local community responsibility.
The Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent organisation that monitors the responsible management of the world’s forests. This is achieved through a system of certification and chain of custody accreditations from the raw materials to finished product. FSC certification guarantees respect for the environment and for social and economic criteria around the wood trade. FSC have certified that all pulps come from ethically-managed sources.
